We are pleased to announce a new acquisition to our Metrology Department: Taylor Hobson’s Talysurf PGI 840.
In an effort to constantly improve our metrology capabilities and, by doing so, improve our manufacturing potential, we are now the proud owners of a Form Talysurf PGI.
Many components require exceptional levels of quality, durability, precision, and reliability in order to meet the demanding requirements of modern applications. To enable Crystran to meet these demands we are pleased to announce that we have taken delivery of a Form Talysurf PGI 840 to add to our already extensive metrology suite.
Example aspheric lens – measured profile
Taylor Hobson’s Talysurf PGI is specifically configured to measure the form of complex aspheric lenses, regardless of spherical departure. After careful calibration it can analyse surface deviation to an absolute accuracy of up to 50 nm against either the component’s design or best-fit (derived) properties.
Example aspheric lens – analysed against design data, form error (Pt) < 0.20 um
This new equipment allows us to deliver a wider range of optical components with assurance for our customer that they will receive the same excellent quality they expect from Crystran with reliable and repeatable results.
